<NanPai Shuttlecock> Reference study book Author: Deng Yongsheng

     Before  translation of  this article, this book's author has beed passed away, grieve, we will share his knowledge in memoriam our great shuttlecock master. To our NanPai master "Deng Yongsheng". For the future we will follow his step and find our new way to spread more about the shuttlecocks far across the country and even the world.

    And after the author passed away , this great work <NanPai shuttlecock> seems not share to too many people, a lot of information we'v found on google  it  mention about the shuttlecock , but just few words . I asked around on my friend circle , it seems not so many people have this great paper work in his hand. So I build a website to try to insist our salute. 

     some of the Chinese character I don't know how to translate, but I can try to improve my translation. Just leave it as chinese until time is right.

    “平沙落雁”(wild geese on the beach)、“寒江独钓(fishing alone in the cold river)”、“暗度陈仓”(sneak secretly by another path)，when you heard it, you will thoutht it's martial arts ，but when you look carefully,  It turned out to be an old man over 60 performing his shuttlecock stunts.     Who is this man ? He is Deng Yongsheng, a native of Guangzhou. He was gave the nickname "the king of NanPai shuttlecock".

    At the age of 12, he learn NanPai shuttlecock from the famous Canton Deng Gui Ming(shuttlecock master). He play NanPai shuttlecock for 50+ years.As he mention about how to resonance with shuttlecock, he said with a smile, when I was 12, i saw Mr.Deng with his shuttlecock demonstration, I knew that I had a strong connection whit this shuttlecock

He create his own unique tricks and variations on shuttlecock movements

    It was not an accident of these unique tricks and variations. Roma was not build in a day. 50 years practice made Deng Yongsheng never stick to traditional move and  constantly innovate.  Add martial arts, drama, "Lion dance" and other artistic elements. He made  the shuttlecock more ornamental and artistic.  

     Note: Lion dance is an chinese traditional activity. Lion dance denotes auspiciousness,prosperity and good luck.

New wave of  shuttlecock exercise

    Entertain everyone rather than yourself." Deng Yongsheng never regarded himself as a master, but always thought about how to share his own knowledge of shuttlecock art with people who love their own shuttlecock. In addition to publish the book, Deng Yongsheng also formed a shuttlecock club with a group of shuttlecock friends, and opened the training place of the south school of shuttlecock, and now every week in the People's Park(GuangZhou), the  shuttlecock enthusiast will formed and start their's activity.

   As the inheritor of the non-heritage project of shuttlecock in Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City. In order to make the development of shuttlecock, Deng Yongsheng ,classifies and summarizes the complicated, abstract and difficult technology of shuttlecock, and forms a relatively complete scientific system theory of southern school shuttlecock. 

    In 2007, the book "NanPai Shuttlecock" written by him was published. The publication of this book not only promotes the enthusiasm of the masses of shuttlecock kicking, but also makes the "NanPai shuttlecock" increasingly popular, far across the country and even around the world.

    Shuttlecock kicking is a kind of activity that both good for all age,Deng Yongsheng influenced a generation with his shuttlecock art and quality. He uses shuttlecock, interprets his extraordinary life, also expresses his love of shuttlecock feelings.
